The Story of Us

Every time we see each other there's always this tension that draws us together. Sparks are flying and interest is building up.

We dance the night away, have fun with the company of other people, catch up on each other, sometimes we'd stop for smoke or breakfast then end up having this conversations in the car about our life, business and the industry that we're both in. It was always fun & spontaneous. Sometimes romantic and sweet. We'd have those moments wherein it could just go on and on if only the sunrise din't came.

But then the next day, it's like nothing happened. That from a night of being so close, how could we have turned into strangers when morning came? It's just the usual exchange of " Thanks for dropping me home." and you'll just reply with, "you're welcome! =)" Then that's it, will never talk again or pick up on whatever we had that night. Sometimes we'd both try to put up a conversation but it always ends up quickly as if there was nothing to talk about.

There is attraction and chemistry that magnets us together, but only on nights we see each other then the following day it's all gone as if it was never there. Is there such a thing as one night chemistry??? Could it have just been the alcohol and the ambiance of the place that triggered it?

We cross paths once more and the cycle repeats again. No matter how I try to avoid this circumstances, we somehow always find ourselves together doing the same routine all over again. It's like it was always bound to happen. We never talk about it, the awkwardness after we meet & the silence we have after that night. I've wanted to bring it up but it might be awkward since we've been friends for a long time and or sometimes I feel like maybe it was just better this way or this is just how things are with us.

I don't really know what is it with those nights and us; that would always remain a mystery to me.

Are You Worth The Plunge?

There shouldn't be fear of commitment when you know he/she is the one.

That is what I would like to think or believe in.

When you love someone there is no feeling of doubt and hesitation but only willingness to commit yourself to that person.

You are contented being with that person and no longer need to seek for someone else cause he/she is more than enough.

There is no need to search for other options cause you know the search is over the moment you found them.

There is a feeling of excitement over this new chapter of your lives. You look forward to new memories, fun experiences and memorable moments you'll be sharing.

The condition that comes with that commitment no longer scares you but makes you feel secured by the fact that he is yours, and you are hers.

The only question is are you worth the plunge or not?

So next time someone says they're afraid of commitment, it just means you're not.

Someday...One Day!

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you.

When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful.

There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever.

Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby.

Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon.

You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you.

You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

We Find Hope in People

I accompanied my mom today at Fr. Suarez's Healing Mass and an incident really caught me.

There was this old couple sitting on the next row to my seat probably in their 60's. The lady had brace in her neck, the same type that PGMA had before and his husband was sitting next to her. Then I noticed that their hands were locked into each other. It was the sweetest thing I saw at a church. It's as if the husband was saying, "be strong, we can do this..am here for you. You'll never have to go through this alone, for I will be with you."

What made my heart melt and even got me teary-eyed was when the husband stood up and leaned over to give his wife a kiss on the lips. Yes on the lips, in public. Like he was declaring to the whole world how much he loves her. Even though his wife couldn't reciprocate that kiss he just went for it.

This I think is the reason why people still hope and believe that a love as great as this still exists. A love that stays strong even in the toughest circumstances. A love that will help survive and overcome all the hardships and pains. A love that is so true and would really last a lifetime.

Thanks to those 2 for reminding me of all that.

It was a Good Friday Indeed! :)

Have you ever had that feeling of having a hangover from a certain event / day in your life? You keep on rewinding back the conversations, remembering facial expressions and smiling like crazy every time memories of it pops into your head.

At first I was kinda nervous, I did not know what to expect. I was thinking if there were things we would talk about or would there just be dead air most of the time. Yes, we've had a good conversation before but there was alcohol involve so that doesn't really gauge if we do get along. You know how alcohol can instantly light-up a conversation.

But It was just a perfect day, having great conversation about life, love and business over coffee then continuing it over dinner as if you don't run out of things to talk about. In the middle of those talks he does simple things and surprising gestures that makes you smile. He cracks a joke once in awhile that makes you laugh and some heartfelt stories as well that makes you go.."awwww." Everything was spontaneous, I could sense that he wasn't trying or making an effort to please me it all just came naturally.

Every girl wants to be respected and treated as a princess and he did just that. Just when I thought that gentleman guys are non-existent anymore, he proved me wrong. Opening doors for me, getting me a tissue when I accidentally spitted a jelly because I was laughing over his story, serving food on my plate, lighting my cigarette for me, going down the car with a small umbrella that only one can fit so that I won't get wet (he ended up getting wet instead) and got out of the car and walked me to the house to say goodbye. Oh, he din't even try to kiss me, just made beso and hugged me, that for me was the best thing he did.

It was too surreal, that sometimes I wonder if any of it was true. I even thought that he might have read my blogs that's why he knew what I wanted a guy to do for me but he doesn't even know I have one. It's been awhile since I was out on a date, well I'm not really sure if you could call it that way but I must say this was one of the most unforgettable one. I'm not sure though if there's gonna be a part 2 but at least I've experienced how it is to be treated well. That in spite of knowing a lot of men who are assholes and rude there's still that guy who thinks that I deserve to be treated with respect and am never gonna settle for less than this on my next one.

Till now I still smile whenever I recall memories from that day. :)

You Make Me Smile! :)

Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where
You send me, lets me know that it's okay
Yeah, it's okay
And the moments where my good times starts to fade

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on  a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just a thought of you can drive me wild
Oh you make me smile

Even when you're gone,
Somehow you come along just like
A flower pokin' through the sidewalk crack
And just like that
You steal away the rain, and just like that.

Let's Runaway!

There are days wherein I just want to run away from all this stress and drama.
Leave everything behind and just go wherever life takes me.
And today is one of them.

Take me away from here.
Take me to a place where it's serene and happy.
To a place where I could take a breather and live a life that's truly my own.

Call Me Old-Fashioned

My Personal Trainer at the gym awhile ago was singing to this while we were working out. Blame it on him the song is still stuck in my head till now..haha!

BINIBI
Binibini sa aking pagtulog
Ika'y panaginip ko
Panaganip ng kathang dakila
Nitong pag-iisip ko
Ang katulad mo raw ay birhen
Sa abang altar ng punong pag-ibig
O kay ganda
O kay gandang mag-alay sa 'yo

Alaala, at isip at pagod
Sa yo'y binigay ko raw
Binibini, ang aking dalangi't dasal
Dininig mo raw
Wika mo raw ay iingatan ka
Magpakailanman ang purong pag-ibig
O kay ganda
O kay ganda mag-alay sa 'yo
Hooh...

BRIDGE:
Sa 'king tanong magkatutoo
Kaya
Sagot mo para nang sinadya
Hooh...

Pagsapit ng magandang umaga
Ako'y bumalikwas din
Panaginip naglaho't natunaw
Nguni't nar'yan ka pa rin
Paraluman, ikaw ay akin
Sa bisang lakas ng purong pag-ibig
O kay ganda
O kay gandang mag-alay sa 'yo
O kay ganda
O kay gandang mag-alay sa 'yo

I actually like this song, I know some might say that the lyrics are too cheesy but am sure a lot of girls would really melt once someone sings this to them. The song is about a guy's profession of love to the girl he likes, more of a "harana" song.

Made me miss those courtship stage wherein guys would do everything and anything for you. Bring you food when you're sick, accompany you to places you want to go to, take you out on a movie or dinner date and throw in a little surprise from time to time.

Is courtship still being practiced nowadays? All am hearing right now is "nagka-aminan", "nagka developan" and friends turning into lovers. What happened to writing letters, giving chocolates and flowers or taking the girls on a romantic date? Call me old-fashioned but I still want guys doing that for me. I want them to make an effort and go out of their way for me to gauge their sincerity and persistence.

I still want to be swoon and swept away not only with words but accompanied with actions as well. It doesn't need to be over the top or a grand gesture. Just simple stuff would be fine as long as it comes from the heart and makes me smile. :)

Mornings Made Better! :)

Call me shallow, but there's something about a Good Morning or Good Night text that makes my day.

I think it makes you feel that you are thought of when they start and end their day.

Maybe it really doesn't take much to make me smile. :)

My Thinspiration

I've recently been going to the gym for a month now. Have to work on my goal which is to lose 15 pounds before the end of April. It's been 3 weeks now and I've only lost 5 pounds, which is really depressing. I've cut on my carb intake, having rice only once a day and only 3x a week. Oh that no rice for 40 days obviously was a fail. :(  I've been trying to hit the gym 5x a week but still my target weight loss is still far fetched. But on the other hand, am happy that I've lost some fats and am back to the normal range.

It really takes awhile for me to lose weight but so easy to gain. ( I wish it was the other way around..*sigh* ) I think my work-out isn't effective so I'm working out with some friends now, one is a trainer so hopefully that would be of help. The first day was a killer, I didn't know it was gonna be that hard. My thighs and legs are still sore as I am typing this. ( The work-out was Monday ) But as they say NO PAIN, NO GAIN! So let's see how the rest of the work-out goes.

Well, maybe these pictures would help me be inspired to diet and work-out some more. Hopefully by the end of April I can already achieve that Boracay Body. ( nothing is impossible..*wink* ) Wish me luck guys!

BE HAPPY!

Sometimes life gets a little bit frustrating, depressing and boring that we tend to lose those smiles on our faces.  I am sometimes guilty of that too, but I've read Don't Look for Happiness. Create It.

This I find to be very true. We are always in search of something or someone that would put us in a state of happiness instead of creating those moments that would make us happy. Instead of appreciating and accepting what we have, we always look for the things we don't have.

I am also guilty for always saying, in the end all I want is to be happy. But I learned that Happiness is not a destination, it's a way of travel, quality of thought and a state of mind.

So this is going to be my resolution from now on. I will start appreciating and accepting things as they are. I will try to see the positiveness in every situation that comes my way. I'll get rid of unhappy thoughts and dwell on those things that makes me happy. I'll start creating blissful moments or do things that would make me happy.

Happiness is a choice and I choose to BE HAPPY!

Thoughts on Love

Love can have different meanings. It could just be a dream or illusion to those who are still hopeful to find it. It could be nothing and just a word to those who don't believe in it. It could mean happiness to those who have found it. It could be pain to those who have been hurt by it. Or it could also be a drug that can make your world go crazy.

For me, LOVE is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.

But whatever it is, nothing truly beats the feeling of being in love. As the saying goes, "you have not lived, if you haven't loved." That feeling when everything just seems to have a meaning, when each morning or day makes it worth waking up to, when just the smallest things make you smile and when everything just feels so right.

Oh how I miss this feeling!

What Happened to Chivalry?

I want John Cusack holding a boombox for me outside my window.

I wanna ride off a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey.

I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me.

I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me.

Just once I'd like my life to be like an 80's movie,
preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason.

But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life.
